GET REFUND FOR FILLING UP HSC FROM
The Dhaka Board of Education will refund some of the money deposited for filling up the HSC and equivalent examination forms. From today, Tuesday (March 9), checks for these funds will be distributed from the Accounts Branch of the Board of Education (3rd floor of Building No. 1, Room No. 207). However, under no circumstances should anyone other than the teacher be given the power to take the check. This information has been informed in a notification on Monday (March 8).
Last year’s HSC and equivalent exams were not held due to coronary infection. Autopass is given instead. Students and parents then demanded a refund for completing the form. Later, the authorities decided to return the money taken for the test activities to the sectors which were not spent. Students pay two to two and a half thousand rupees for HSC fees.
It is learned that the students will be able to collect this money from the educational institutions. In a circular signed by Dhaka Education Board Secretary Prof Tapan Kumar Sarkar, it has been said that the check for the amount deposited for filling up the HSC examination form will be distributed from the Accounts Branch (3rd floor of Building No. 1, Room No. 207) as per the date mentioned below.
Only the officer-in-charge of the concerned center himself or any teacher authorized by him (with attested signature) is requested to accept the check during the said office of all the educational institutions under the center.
It also said that under no circumstances should anyone other than the teacher be given the power to take the check. If the officer in charge of the center is the acting principal of the concerned institution, the application form should have the counter-signature of the president / deputy commissioner / upazila executive officer of the governing body. If any error is found in the check after receipt, it should be rectified from the accounting branch within seven working days.

March 10 Dhaka district, Narayanganj, Narsingdi, Munshiganj, Manikganj, Gazipur, Tangail and Kisherganj districts. Besides, it will be given on March 19 in Dhaka metropolis.
